Thanks to everyone for your generous donations, im even more determined than ever! Training is going very well, I've managed to reduce my swim time from last year's pityful 8:53 to around the 7 minute mark so well im chuffed.

Also, i've been cycling with Andy Beavis who is also going to be racing alongside me in the Springfield and Malmesbury Tri-Athlons. My running is my weakest discipline at the moment but is due for some major work as I approach the first race on the 5th May.

Hi there,
The purpose of this page is to raise both funds and awareness for the Ashgate Hospice in Chesterfield. The staff at this place really were fantastic during the last few months of Valerie Exford's life who unfortunately lost her brave battle against ovarian cancer.
In Val's memory I will be participating in 3 Tri-Athlons to raise money for this very worthy charity, and for those of you who live in the  Chesterfield area, you'll have seen how the Hospice is desperately in need of ongoing donations in order to provide the care needed by those who are residents.

To give you an idea of what your donations will pay for, take a look below:

• £10 could help provide a patient with a visit from a Macmillan nurse at home.
• £25 could go towards redecorating a bedroom at the Hospice
• £55 could contribute to keeping Ashgate warm in winter
• £100 could help provide the care of a nursing team day and night for 24 hours.

So, the Tri-Athlons I'll be partaking in will all be Super Sprint class events which entail a 400 mtr swim, 22 km bike ride and a 5 km run. And in case you'd like to come and see what this Tri-Athlon lark is all about, the events are at these locations.
