We want to cover 4012 miles!

This is the distance from London, England to Kampala, Uganda.

This page has been set up to recieve donations on behalf of all the 900 students at Beacon Community College, who are participating in this huge event.

The event requires each pupil within their tutor group to come together and work as a team to produce a unique way of covering a distance of a mile.

Using Facebook and Bebo we will create a community of all the 900 students that will be taking part in this great event.

It is hoped that after the 3 dates - 6th, 7th & 8 some of the students will be inspired and take on the task of completing the distance between them.

3 excellent prizes have been offered (which will be posted onto this page as soon as they have been confirmed), to the student that is the most innovative with their mile or the student that raises the most money or to the largest distance travelled.

Why are they getting involved?

Beacon is the first school to be involved in this campaign, which means that Beacon's achievements will be leading other schools throughout the nation to make up their 4012 miles for our charity.

We need everyone to get involved in this to keep it up and running. By the end, you will be able to visably see what each child has achieved, and when you log on to the Child's i Foundation website you will discover that each mile you make up and each pound you get sponsored, has made a huge difference in Uganda.
