The event was a success. We did well, visiting 247 stations in one day. As we dropped 27 stations we have only lost £16.90 (6.5%) of the maximum possible money. Donations are still much wanted and will be greatly appreciated. The statistics shown above are those of Friday 26/08/2005
You are all well aware of the shocking events that took place on the 7th July this year and I am sure that you all are as angry as me and many other people about it. Ken Livingstone (the mayor of london) has set up a relief fund for those, and the families of those, who have been affected by the attacks on our capital city's transport system.
WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO ABOUT IT? We (probably about 100 of us) are going to go around all the stations that are open whenever we do it. Visit www.geofftech.co.uk/tubechallenge/notafraid for more information.
PLEASE HELP
Please help by sponsoring me AND/OR other people who are doing this with me and together we can stop terrorism. www.justgiving.com is fantastic and has organised this to FULLY secure. You can even claim a tax bonus on your donation. PLEASE show that you are not selfish and sponsor us. If you don't trust the internet or you do not have any means of paying over the web you can still sponsor me with pen and paper if you see me.
Thanks in advance
Jonny Lyon
NB: The 'Amount raised offline' is an estimate. As people are sponsoring me per station, and I don't know how many stations will be open, I am putting it as if we are doing 274 stations as this was the estimate for how many stations will be open.
I have included the tax claimed at 28% where applicable.
The amount shown is subject to updates.
NB2: The number of stations has been changed to 274 following the reopening of the Piccadilly line between Arnos Grove and Hyde Park Corner.
