At 9.30am on Sunday 27th September this year we are aiming to run the 5km distance from The Brooklyn Tunnel to The Twin Towers Site in full firefighting equipment. This run was established in memory of F/F Stephen Siller who lost his life in the collapse of the towers after having run from the tunnel to the towers to assist colleagues despite being off duty.
We are raising funds for 2 causes.
1) The Firefighters' Charity which supports thousands of British Firefighters who are injured every year whilst protecting the public.
2) GAFSIP, to sponsor shipment of a radio communications network for The Gambia Fire and Rescue Service which currently rely on mobile phones!
