Traidcraft Exchange - Traidcraft's charity - works to enable poor producers in Africa and Asia to grow their businesses, find markets and engage effectively in trade. We passionately believe that trade can provide opportunities for people to work their way out of poverty.
Traidcraft Exchange is a development charity specialising exclusively in making trade work for poor people. We work with poor people in Africa and Asia to gain the confidence, knowledge and opportunity needed to work their way out of poverty. We also lobby and campaign for trade policies and practices that help – rather than hurt – poor people, and encourage those who may seem powerless to speak up for their rights. Right now, more than 350,000 people are benefiting directly from our work and we are improving the lives of a further 1.4 million. Countless more benefit from our lobbying and campaigning for trade justice.
This Fairtrade Fortnight we need you to help us make it happen. Just £3.10 could pay for a fair trade producer to receive a training manual that will provide them with advice on how to sell their products in the Indian market. Not much more than the cost of cuppa!
