“I would not have been able to continue this amazing year without this grant.” Student from UC Santa Cruz studying at Durham, May 07 The University of California Trust (UK) created the Allan Buch Memorial Scholarship Fund in April 2005 to provide grants for students facing emergency financial hardship after they have arrived in the UK. The fund also supports students wishing to undertake scholarly, creative and community projects as well as internships. Since it was started, the fund has awarded 28 grants to students from all the UC campuses. Our vision is to help secure the future of the Education Abroad program in by ensuring that adequate financial support is available for UC students to study here. He was also a superlative member of our board. Tragicallly, Allan died of cancer in 2005. Our scholarship fund is dedicated to his memory. We are thrilled that Allan's daughters Alex and Olivia are members of our team. We hope that you will support them and us in our 10k run for the Buch Fund.
