My story
Following the success of the Snodonia Marathon this October, the next challenge is the Snowdon Race - Râs Y Wyddfa, this time we go up and down as fast as possible. 10 miles in all on the Llanberis path. The challenge is to beat the cut off at the top which means getting up in around 50mins.
The race is on 20th July, so plenty of time to practice...
I ran my first ever Marathon at the end of October in a time of 4:12. Not just any old marathon, but the Snowdonia Marathon, a gruelling 26.2miles of hills and valleys, (with fantastic views of course!)
You can help by donating towards the Umeed Partnership to spur me onwards!!
My updates 5
Had a quick chat about the marathon with Cwmni Da - they liked the story - so might be on S4c 8.30pm Sunday Evening
Only ten days till the race. The weather is warming for next week so says radio cymru great, but I'm happy running in the rain now!!
Dim ond 10 diwrnod i'r râs... Bydd y tywydd yn cynhesu wythnos nesaf dwedodd y radio y bore ma. Grêt am a râs, ond dwi'n hapus rhedeg yn y glaw!
The race is one month yesterday. Ran 23 & 3/4 miles, legs hurt, but fine... Downhill towards the race from here on...
Been training since Christmas - one more long run to go: 22 miles next Thursday - then it's all downhill till race day...
