Hello my name is Peter Lofthouse I am 24, an enthusiastic and commited outdoor educator working in The Lake District in the United Kingdom to pass on my skills and knowledge to young people. I enjoy canoeing rock climbing and climbing mountains and have become a very passionate Unicyclist. I can often be seen enjoying the local scenery riding my unicycle over the local fells and around Grizedale Forest.
I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to help me partake in the challenge of a lifetime.
In June next year I will be Unicycling (yes that’s one wheel) with a group of enthusastic unicyclists from Nairobi in Kenya to Dar es Salaam on the Indian Ocean coast in Tanzania. This is a total distance of 550km. This exciting journey is being arrnged by Escape Adventure
Along the way we will visit local rural schools to give them educational materials and stationary.
I am doing this to help raise money for charity
The charity I have chosen is Asthma UK, as a long time sufferer of asthma I want to demonstrate to others particualry asthma sufferers and their families just what can be achieved by a fit and healthy well controlled asthmatic.
I am looking to raise money to help the research done by asthma UK and to help cover the costs of this expedition So am looking to raise up to £10,000
