Hooray, I did it!!! I was right, the spiral stairs were absolutely horrible. They do have netting round them but it still makes you feel queasy. I felt sorry for the cadets helping who had to go up and down those stairs until they were worn out (the cadets, not the stairs...). The abseil itself was amazing and I'd love to do it again, what a view!! It was a beautiful day too so I could see for miles. Thanks to everyone's generosity, I've raised an amount of money that's well in excess of expectations so thank you so much. Since I did the abseil I've had lots more money donated and I need to write another cheque for around £50 so please keep it coming!
