Completed the 5K Race for Life City of London in 50mins (walking). ================================================================ Completed the JPMorgan Corporate Chase Challenge 5.6K on 10 July 08 in 57mins (walking)================================================================= Latest update: http://news.hereisthecity.com/news/business_news/7354.cntns I havent been doing aswell as I should have (total lack of gym and will power basically!) and I feel terrible for being such a Larry Letdown to you all. Therefore as a penance I have entered myself into the JP Morgan Chase Challenge on 10 July 2008 and The Race for Life on 1 June 2008. ================================================================ Hi All In December 2007 Here Is The City (http://news.hereisthecity.com/news/business_news/7354.cntns) sought 10 overweight bankers (men or women who are at least 2 stone bigger than they should be) and set the challenge of losing weight for a charity of their choice. Rules of the competition are that we can lose weight under our own steam and in whatever manner we choose, with the aim being to lose as much as sensibly possible over a 3 month period. Whoever loses the biggest percentage of their body weight will be declared the winner. I had my first weigh-in when the competition started on Monday 14 January 2008 at Preventicum (http://www.preventicum.co.uk/) and weighed 82.7kg / 182.32lbs / 13st. I am aiming to lose around 3st by Christmas 2008 and this competition is just the kick start I need. I am hoping to lose just under 2st for the competition end and then keep it going. Healthy eating and regular exercise (thank you to Jessica Scullion for the pedometer!) I am hoping will help me achieve this (am looking for a badminton partner if anyone is interested!) I would also like to thank Dr. Savin at Preventicum who has kindly given me a BMI measuring tape to help me log how many inches I will have lost from my waist. The charity I have chosen to diet for is one of UBS’s many charities, Groundwork East London. Groundwork supports communities in need working with partners to help improve the quality of people’s lives, their prospects and potential, and the places where they live, work and play. Their vision is of a society of sustainable communities which are vibrant healthy and safe, which respect the local and global environment and where individuals and enterprise prosper. http://www.groundwork-eastlondon.org.uk/ With your support and encouragement we can help a worthy cause so please dig deep! In advance many thanks for your support. Vee Bergonzi Update (21.02.08) since the competition start I have lost 5lbs (1lb a week) so far.
