About Village Aid
Village Aid is a charity based in Bakewell, Derbyshire that works through
local Community -based partners to combat poverty in West Africa. We work in
remote rural areas of Ghana, Cameroon, Nigeria, The Gambia and Sierra Leone,
with grassroots West African organisations that are firmly embedded within
their communities. We mainly support women and young people in areas of
education, securing livelihoods, advocacy and justice. We work in innovative
and sustainable ways to support community development amongst the
marginalised poor and carry out practical and progressive projects that put
people first.
