My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit Vision's JustGiving page.
We have chosen to raise money for Teens Unite as it is a very worthwhile cause. Teens Unite Fighting Cancer is dedicated to improving the lives of young people aged between 13 and 24 with life-limiting illnesses.
Did you know that as many as six teenagers a day are diagnosed with cancer in the UK? Those statistics are heartbreaking and Teens Unite's mission statement is:
"To help young people build on their self esteem, self confidence and to reduce the feeling of isolation, realising that others are facing similar challenges."
We all know someone aged between 13 and 24, we simply couldn’t imagine how we’d feel if they were diagnosed with a life threatening illness? It’s good to know that someone is there to help them through their battle and make their wishes come true?
Mark Smyth, our Operations Director and Philip Bond, our Sales Director are keen for Vision to give something back to the community and, as well as supporting Trees for Cities, they wanted Vision’s success to help improve the lives of individuals and Teens Unite does this in spades, so come on guys ... DIG DEEP!
Taking the Three Peaks Challenge with Mark and Philip on 14 and 15 September 2012 are members of our Sales, Corporate and Professional Services Teams: Mark Middleton, Matthew Bunting, Rob Maunder, Kelvin Findlay and Lee Young.
