Thanks for taking the time to visit Vista's JustGiving page.
On 4 October a team of Vista employees will take part in the Asics Liverpool 10K run for charity. Fight for Sight have always been Vista’s preferred charity and the team will run to raise funds to support their work.
Since 1965 Fight for Sight (Registered Charity no. 1111438) has raised funds to support medical research into a wide-range of eye conditions. These include macular degeneration, glaucoma, cataract, diabetic retinopathy as well as the causes of childhood blindness. Fight for Sight also funds research into a large number of rare eye diseases. The charity is the largest in the UK dedicated to funding eye research.
Carlos Arce, our Latin America Territory Manager, is proud that he was a Fight for Sight Research Fellow with a grant from this institution during his training in cornea at the University of Florida between 1979 and 1980 with a project related to cornea healing, cyclic nucleotides and prostaglandins.
Vista’s mission statement includes the statement “To help reduce preventable blindness” and our ongoing support of this charitable organisation supports the company commitment to this cause, not only are we providing innovative products to the industry to resolve eye conditions but we are also supporting research for future projects.
