Story

UPDATE - Big thank you to everyone who has donated so far and also purchased items and raffle tickets at the auction, we have raised approx £6k from the Walk and £5k at the Auction = £11000 !!!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My name is Neil Hutson, and I'm a general builder and West Ham Season Ticket holder from Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. In March 2013 a very good friend of mine, Dennis Driscoll, passed away in St Nicholas Hospice Care, just weeks after being told he had cancer in his stomach. He too was an avid West Ham supporter, who loved life and made the most of every day, especially after his wife Nancy passed away in 2011.

In order to give something back to the Hospice, based in Bury St Edmunds, I have arranged for myself, Dennis's son Kev, his son Chas and two other friends Bill and Shaun, to do a sponsored walk around all the London Football clubs, starting and finishing at Upton Park, West Ham's home stadium, completing over 70 miles and trying to set a record for The Guinness Book of Records.

The support St Nicholas gave my friend and his family was incredible. It is such a lovely place to be, particularly in the last weeks of your life. They need to fundraise 73% of their annual expenditure from the local community, coming to about £11,000 every day. I hope that with your support, we can raise a decent amount of money in order to help this wonderful charity.

Thank you.

Neil x
