Hello, 1st of all we at Walk4Louis would like to thank you for visiting our page.
 
Who are Walk4Louis??

Walk4Louis are made up of two close friends. Paul Taft (41) lives in Cramlington, Northumberland and Phil Barker (34) who lives in Tamworth, Staffordshire.
 
What are Walk4Louis about??

Walk4Louis was established in 2010 to help raise money for a charity in the North-East of England called 4Louis. In 2009 the founder Kirsty McGurrell lost her 1st baby shortly before her due date and had to go through the ordeal of given birth to a sleeping angel. Through the little help and support that was out there Kirsty set up 4Louis to give help to other bereaved parents of sleeping angels. The Story so far.....

In April 2010 the guys completed their 1st walk, walking 191 miles from Sunderland Hospital to the SANDS Memorial Garden at the National Arboretum at Alrewas nr Burton Upon Trent in 5 days. They managed to raise £1000.
In May 2011 they completed a Coast 2 Coast walk, walking from Blackpool to Sunderland a distance of 164 miles taking them 9 days. They managed to raise £4500. To read more about there exploits please visit the website http://www.4louis.co.uk/walk4louis.htm .
 
The Next Trek....

On the 11th May 2012 the guys are taking on their next mission 'A Grand Challenge'. They are planning to walk from London to Tamworth along the Grand Union Canal. On the 1st day they are planning to walk around London visiting some famous sports venues before embarking onto the Grand Union Canal at Wembley on day 2. They are hoping to comlpete the challenge over 9 days covering a distance of approx 180 miles.  Their target for next year is to raise £10,000 for the charity and spread the awareness of the charity across more of the UK. 4Louis aim to provide hospitals free of charge with memory boxes to be giving to bereaved parents who suffer the trauma of stillbirth or neonatal death. Each box contains a clay impression kit for hand and feet imprints, teddy bears and an Angel, which signifies a born sleeping baby, and more
