Hello everyone and thank you for visiting the Walk for Carly website.
This is an update to inform you all of the next event. 'Concert for Carly' will be held on Saturday 10 April at the Monaco Ballroom on Atherton Road, Hindley. This is a ticket only event, £10 per person, pay in advance (advised due to demand) or on the door.
You can obtain tickets the following ways:
* Facebook - you can join the website 'For the love of Carly' where you can message Trevor & Sheila with your requirements.
* Contact Trevor & Sheila direct on - 01942 253764
* Contact Victim Support on - 01942 322033
This year's Concert we hope will be another sell out and we aim to raise as much money as possible for the Professional Counselling Services of Vicim Support.
The event starts at 7.30pm (dress to impress) but it is advisable if last year's event was anything to go by, to arrive by 7pm to guarantee a seat!!
The night will consist of:
Live entertainment and DJ including:
Chloe
Chloe has now recorded her own song and will sing it on the night of the concert. It is hoped that her CD will also be available to buy at the event, and if so she will be available to sign copies.The Cunning Stunts
· The Cunning Stunts (say it slowly)!! These are two very funny gentlemen who perform a ‘balloon’ dance, and are guaranteed to bring a smile to everyones face!
We have some amazing auction and raffle prizes this year and the chance to win a holiday to Bulgaria (with flights for two people) in a super draw, at a cost of £10 per ticket!!!
Hotpot supper will also be included in the price of your ticket.
As an additional update, the ‘Carly Fund’ raised over £10,000 last year and over £36,000 in the last 3 years.
Trevor and Sheila have received two awards, these being:-
· My Inspiration category - Wish FM Local Heroes Award
· Victim Support Fundraisers of the Year (presented by HRH Princess Anne)
They have had airtime on Wish FM and have appeared recently on the Jeremy Kyle show, highlighting their story and promoting the Carly Fund.
Due to Trevor & Sheila’s continued efforts in raising awareness of the effects of domestic violence in the home, the Professional Counselling Services of Victim Support in the Wigan Area have continued to help hundreds of victims and their families.
I therefore look forward to meeting you all night, and for those of you who are unable to make the event, do not worry, you can still donate via this website.
Thank you for your continued support and let’s look forward to another successful year!!!
Many thanks.
Sally Blood
