Please help us to raise £9.000 00 for the Balcraig Foundation, founded by Ann Gloag OBE in 1992 to assist in the relief of human suffering and provide a place of safety for orphaned and destitute children. The first project was the Kenya Children's Home, Nairobi.
KCH is home to nearly 150 children aged between newborn to 18 years. All are orphaned, abandoned or in destitute situations. The team of staff at KCH provide the children with a family atmosphere in nine purpose-built houses, the kichens are badly in need of refurbishing and with your help we are hoping to raise £9,000.00 to do this work.
This year's challenge is to climb Ben Lomond, the most southerly Munro, towering 974 meters above Loch Lomond. WALK for FOOD will take place on Sunday 11th SEPTEMBER 2011 (please note date change!).
