We raise money to help treat & beat heart and lung disease

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

Terielisia lost her brave battle on 8th October 2006 , at the tender age of just 26, whilst undergoing an unsuccesful heart and lung transplant.  Her heart and lungs were subsequently donated for research.  It was during this time that her family realised how under funded this element is, and decided to do something to help them.

Chris (her Dad) and Nicki (her Sister) are going to walk from Ramsgate in Kent, to Launceston in Cornwall, a massive 308 miles!!   They intend to do this over a 14 day period in July.

They are relying on sponsorship and donations to do the walk, as well as collect money for the Royal Brompton along the way,  and at the same time raise awareness for this wonderful, yet under funded NHS Hospital.

This is an incredible journey for the family, and they are doing it in honour and in awe of Terielishia's own increidble and brave journey.

Chris would like to say a special thank you to the Elephant & Castle, Corby Tea Rooms, (and, of course, Keeley for the sky dive!) National Schoolwear Shop (for all the clothes and footwear - they are wonderful), all the staff and parents at East Court School and Branching Out for donating a caravan for two weeks.  Without people like you this would just not be possible!

17.06.07  Thank you to Mrs Catford for the kind household donations.  This allowed Ellie & Katie Pounder (Sharon Wilson's daughters) to hold a boot fair at the Charles Dickens School - the girls raised £142.35!!

18.06.07  East Court School have received donations from their local suppliers and are holding a raffle.  Let's all buy a ticket and raise lots of funds for this charity - tickets are available from the school office.

19.06.07   Thank you to J Sainsbury PLC for their kind donation.

A big thank you to Les for the Bullseye night that he organised in the Elephant & Castle Public House that raised £133.00, and has been entered together as a lump sum from the Elephant & Castle Public House.  Without people like you, this charity event could not take place!

14.07.07   What an excellent night at the Naval Club, Ramsgate - Knome Racing.  You had to be there to believe it!  Yes, grown up men dressed up as knomes and hosted a race night.  The KNOMES even had a chance to visit the Vale Tavern to meet some local ladies !!!  Wonderful idea and thank you to all the supporters of the night, the Naval Club for hosting the night AND a special thank you to all the knomes.  You really did a great job and a massive thank you for £253.11 raised on the night....

Chris & Nicki would also like to take this opportunity of thanking Katie Blythe and David Nettleingham for designing the logo for Terielisia.

A big thank you to East Court School for topping up this amount to £7,000.

WOW - The Elephant & Castle just keep adding to this grand total - Yes, they raised £116.00 on their Bullseye night (Les W) and £124.00 from all their customer - A BIG THANK YOU.....

Chris and Nicki are over the moon with the amount of kind donations and a big thank to everyone who has helped them reach their target ....
