Last year, you helped over 1,600 people with warm clothing. All past photos are on our website under "All Project Photos" - check out Nov/Dec 2007 and Jan 2008 photos. Many children die each year from cold related illnesses and often their parents are too poor to seek proper treatment for their children.
In Bangladesh, just £1.30 ($2.60) will buy 1 warm jumper or a warm shawl and a bit more, for a child. The target amount should help over 2300 children or more if a mix of shawls and jumpers are bought. If we can, we will try and distribute some in Pakistan as well. If we can exceed the target, we can help more kids. We need the money by 15 October 2008 . If you donated last year, then we really hope there's a child alive thanks in part to your donation - and who will wear your jumper again this year.
We aim to distribute these warm clothing in November, the beginning of winter. The photos are uploaded onto our website a month later (go to our website and sign up to our free newsletter so you can be kept up-dated). We are not funded by any organisation and rely completely on your donations. Please support our work and you will see how your money helps bring a smile.
