My story

 

Zainab and I got involved with CATE (Crap At The Environment) early last year.   Here's a bit about CATE:

"Crap At The Environment is an attempt to start a movement of people who are concerned about climate change and environmental damage, yet, until now, have been completely or fairly crap at doing anything about it. The movement is headed by comedian Mark Watson and will result in a 'cult' book early this year. Its aim in the meantime is, through blogs, events, stunts, personal experiments and so forth, to remove the tedium from 'green' issues, replacing it with Fun. Resulting in lots of people who were Crap At The Environment becoming Good at it. And ultimately making a tiny, but noble, difference to things."

As part of a CATE-challenge (to offset Mark's flights to & from Australia when he took the Al Gore course on climate change), we've decided to cycle from Portsmouth to Southampton (at least 24 miles!) to see Mark's show there.  We hope we make it.

All the money we raise is going to Sustrans.  Please help us raise loads so they can make more bike paths so we don't get knocked off our bikes on the crazy roads of England.  Thank you .
