WAY Fund Peddlers are aiming to complete a century ride to raise funds for JDRF. The team comprises Trevor Chanter, Rob Owen and Peter Atkins and it is estimated that each will cycle over 1000 miles whilst training for the New Forest 100 miles in October.
Having type 1 diabetes requires constant balancing of diet, exercise and medication to maintain blood glucose levels as close to normal as possible. It's JDRF's mission to treat, prevent, and cure type 1 diabetes and its complications. An invisible condition in many ways Type 1 diabetes is caused by the immune system attacking the insulin-producing cells of the pancreas, meaning that the body cannot regulate blood-glucose levels on its own.
