When we got married on 8th January 2010 - after being together for 17 years (!) - we'd decided that we'd attempt another cycling tour - like the ones we did together when we were much younger (and fitter!) I can't believe it's now all over - and we're back in Glasgow having travelled well over 3600 miles on our 'wedding vuelta' - from Glasgow to Plymouth by train, ferry to Spain, three and a half weeks of cycling (and pushing the heavily laden bikes up some of the very daunting mountains and hills!), buses and trains - and then the ferry back in 'rough seas' as they say on the weather forecast - it was challenging, fun, exciting and just a bit scary - and it was a brilliant experience. Thanks so much for all the kind donations - it feels great to think that our wedding holiday will be making a difference.
It's hard to get our heads round the reality for these children and their families - but 10p covers the cost of feeding a small child for a day - a nutritionally rich meal which allows children to grow - physically, emotionally and cognitively - literally saving and changing lives with your loose change
