This photo (taken at the Great Manc Run) represents just how fed up I am of people nagging me to actually do one of the Bolton Lads & Girls Club sponsored events - rather than just help organise them!

Therefore....spurred on by one of our supporters telling me, 'come on Simon, it's about time you got a sweat on', I have decided to pound the streets of Newcastle for the Great North Run.

Running a half marathon is not the easiest task at the best of times, but when you consider the size of my short little legs, and the size of my big fat head - you should appreciate that just keeping my balance is difficult - never mind completing the course!

Please, please, please sponsor me.  Those who know me well will know just how fantastic a cause I think the Lads & Girls Club is.  Plus, they also gave me my first 'proper job' in the real world so it's about time that (with your help) I gave something back.
