Story
I am riding my bike from Greenwich to Sheffield beginging on the 29th January 2013 and getting into Sheffield on 1st february 2013.
I am planning the route myself and intend travelling up past Cambridge , onwards towards Grantham and swing a left into Lincoln and then on to sheffield via Retford.
I will arrive in sheffield on the 1st for the annual charity ball which is the main fundraiser for the RSPCA Sheffield Branch.
I expect the weather to be cold and wet!
I am doing this ride in memory of my Mom and Dad who have both passed away. My Mom especially was a supporter of the RSPCA and various dog charities in Sheffield.
With regard to a little about myself:
I now live in London but continue to support the Sheffield Branch. It is a charity close to my heart and I have a long association with the Sheffield branch.
I am 49 years old , suffer from high blood pressure and kidney disease, so I think this will be quite a challenge for me!
As proof of travel I shall be wearing a Garmin Forerunner 310XT which will track my route via the satillites.
