My story

I'M BACK!!!!

...AND I HAVE JUST COMPLETED THE CHALLENGE OF MY LIFE CYCLING 256 MILES AROUND WESTERN CUBA - UP STEEP HILLS, THROUGH JUNGLES AND MOUNTAINS IN TEMPERATURES OVER 40 DEGREES TO RAISE MONEY FOR CANCER CARE AND TREATMENT.

A couple of years ago I received wonderful treatment and care at The Royal Marsden hospitals. I am full of admiration for their superb staff and excellent rescources but they DO RELY ON DONATIONS to continue their great work.

My experience was a real "wake-up call" and gave me a renewed appreciation and zest for life. I am one of the lucky ones and sadly, I have known many others who have not made it - the brave Jade Goody being one of these (rest in peace Jade x).

I would like to help the Royal Marsden raise their much-needed funds for cancer research and to enable them to continue to care for other people who are battling this horrible disease.

With the run behind me, this challenge was exceptionally gruelling - I camped out each night during the ride; putting up a tent after a hard days cycling, washed in rivers, used bushes for a loo(!) and then there was the "nappy rash" to contend with..... However, the whole experience was truly amazing and I am thrilled to say that I did it!

So if you have pledged to sponsor me to complete this trek please lodge your donation not. EVERY PENNY YOU DONATE GOES TO THE MARSDEN to help hundreds of others like me get their lives back on track!!

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Huge, huge thanks for your support!
