The two hardy professional cyclists you see to your left are undertaking the challenge to ride 250miles from to Newquay along the . Taking in the epic climbs of and the barren expanse of Bodmin Moor, we hope you will support us in our athletic exploits by sponsoring us to help raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust.
Teenage Cancer Trust builds specialist units in NHS hospitals across the and provides the world’s best medical care for adolescents with cancer. Every day in the , six young people will have to face the diagnosis of cancer. There’s never a good time to get cancer, but for a teenager the timing seems particularly cruel. Young people can get some of the most rare and aggressive forms of cancer and the emotional upheaval of adolescence can make a cancer diagnosis even harder to cope with. All funds raised from this challenge will be donated towards Teenage Cancer Trust’s new South East Appeal, which is raising funds to build specialist facilities at The Royal Marsden, Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital and Kings College Hospital. Teenage Cancer Trust understands that young people have a much better chance in their fight against cancer if they are treated by teenage cancer experts in an environment tailored to their needs and we aim to provide every young person in the access to this specialist care. Thank you for your invaluable support for this appeal! Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
