The recent floods in Yorkshire have affected individuals, companies and community groups alike.  Whilst many are covered by insurance, this may take some time to come through.  Some may not even have had adequate insurance - if any.

In the meantime, some people have been evacuated from their homes, others have lost personal possessions, community organisations have suffered damage etc.

In West Yorkshire the 3 locally-based Community Foundations of Leeds, Wakefield and Calderdale have joined together to raise funds particularly to support community groups and organisations who have been affected by these issues.  As soon as we begin to receive donations, we will start making grants to local groups in need.

Please do give generously.  If you would like your donation to benefit a specific part of West Yorkshire (Leeds, Wakefield, Bradford, Kirklees, Calderdale), please indicate in the comment column and we will do our best to find a local group to benefit.
