My story

 

Dear Comrade,


Welcome to my fundraising page. On the 20 of November 2008 I will be cycling 100 miles to Birmingham to raise funds for the student organization People & Planet who work with students activists to campaign and raise awareness on issues of human rights, ending world poverty and environmental protection.


A five year Treat AIDS Now campaign has resulted in commitment from the UK government to lead an international committee to provide treatment to all by 2010. Support has seen the first steps to bringing down 3rd world development debilitating overpriced essential medicines. Millions more are now receiving treatment.


They have also set up the nationwide university Green League which monitors how environmental/ ethical UK universities are. This has created a remarkable improvement in the environmental management and performance of UK universities. Look at how yours did at http://peopleandplanet.org/gogreen/greenleague2008


Donating through justgiving is fast, easy and safe without any annoying hassling. Giving gift aid adds an extra 28% in tax to you hard working taxpaying students.
