My story

 
The Willow Foundation was founded by Bob and Megs Wilson as a memorial to their daughter, Anna Carey. At the age of 26, Anna was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. As Anna underwent many operations and treatments she and her family and friends experienced some of their most memorable moments together through treats and days out, giving her quality of life and quality time. See The Willow Foundation website to see the work they are doing www.willowfoundation.org.uk. Marking the Willow Foundation’s 10th Anniversary, Willow are encouraging the community to take up 10 challenges. Cicely are rallying as many women as they know to join with them in walking 10 London Bridges as the Cicely Foundation are keen to support Willow with special days for young people in the 16-18yr age group. Bob Wilson (OBE) is also patron of the Cicely Foundation.

So far we have a S.E. London Team, led by Lorraine Lee – A Hertfordshire team led by Ruth Thomas and a Christchurch team led by Olwen Adams! More teams are encouraged to join us! Cicely Founder Maureen is looking forward to the event and seeing some creative walking gear! Cicely Founder Steve Cliffen has requested to be on resuscitation!
