Bring a splash of colour to Wobulenzi!
*******Febraury 29th - all finished - so many comments about the funky look - the students love them! BIG THANKS to everyone who has helped*********
Welcome to our webpage to raise money to paint the 6 dormitories at Wobulenzi Town Academy.
ServeDirect helped raise the money to build this new school but we left the dormitories unpainted as we both wanted to see how the unpainted walls would last and because we had no money! Pics taken today are on this page.
Now we want to change this and paint the dormitories both inside and out - but not without adding a splash of colour. Bermuda Blue, Ripple Green and Sunflower Yellow sound bright enough? We know the kids will love these bold colours and it will really add colour to the site.
We need to paint quickly as the school starts the new academic year on 30th January....in fact you can just see John, the painter, in the doorway of the boy's dorm in the pic taking a look at the work involved.
Costs? Just £275 per dorm (each one is roughly the size of a 4 bed house and houses 50 students). Most of the cost is the paint itself which we buy heavily discounted (thanks Sadolin). There are 6 dorms so we need £1650 asap.
Can you help bring a bit of colour? Every £ goes a long way here in Uganda and 100% of all monies recieved by ServeDirect will hit the target - well wall in this case!
