Why your donation matters
In 2011, more than 112 cats and kittens were dumped on the doorstep of our London Centre. Some were only days old, others pregnant and days from giving birth, and a few were in such a poor state of health that sadly, the kindest thing to do was to put them to sleep. A further 62 cats have been found wandering alone or abandoned near the centre. No one came forward to claim them, so it was up to us to find them new homes.
Without any knowledge of their previous history, health checks for abandoned cats are urgently required. We need to provide urgent veterinary care to those that are seriously ill. Your gift will help to provide emergency supplies that could save a cat's life.

Not such a Happy New Year
For Hazel, Peanut, Walnut, Almond, Chestnut and Pistachio, New Years Day 2011 was not a time for celebration. All six kittens had been crammed into a box and dumped on the doorstep of our London Centre in the middle of the night. Luckily it was a relatively mild night, and all the kittens were in a reasonably good condition when we found them, apart from being bewildered and hungry. After a few weeks of dedicated care and plenty of socialisation with our staff and volunteers, the kittens came out of their shells and have all found new homes.
