Thanks for visiting our fundraising page!

We successfully completed the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge on Saturday 13th June 2009! Hiking a marathon distance over rocky/marshy ground was a tough enough task in its own right, but the three mountains we encountered along the way really made things difficult! We scaled the dizzy heights of:

• Penyghent (694m, 2277ft)
• Whernside (736m, 2415ft) and
• Ingleborough (723m, 2372ft)

This involved a total ascent of 1672m (5486ft) and a total distance of approximately 23-25 miles.  Our feet are now rather tender as a result!

We have chosen to support Neurocare, a local Yorkshire-based charity that funds world-beating technology for the Neurosciences Department at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield. For examples of some of their projects, see the following: http://www.neurocare.org.uk/our_projects

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Neurocare gets your money faster and, if you’re a taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor us now!

Anyone who has to spend 14 straight hours with Matt on a mountainside deserves a donation! Good luck all x Donation by Victoria Pavry on 02/04/09
