Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Those who know us will know how much we LOVE to run.

So we thought, well why not run a distance that is going to challenge us WHILST raising money for a great cause?

"My mum was diagnosed with M.S when she was in her twenties and I was only little. There didn't seem to be a whole lot of help or information when it came to the illness at that time. We were given a few leaflets to look through. It was all very scary.

I was taught lifting, handling, first aid, how to cook, clean and other household chores by Home Help and other healthcare professionals so that I could get mum through the day when other people couldn't be there. We were just so lucky to have such fantastic friends and family to support us!

Mum has since recovered and relapsed a number of times and although the support she has received has been brilliant I wish there had been something like the South Yorkshire Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre back then.

This place is a self-funded, self help therapy centre which costs £116,000 a year just to keep running!!

Please help us raise some much appreciated funds to keep this amazing centre alive and kicking!" - Claire
