Last autumn whilst running along the Oxford Canal I made the mistake of suggesting to my fellow runners Jenni Howard and Sarah Kerswell wouldn't it be great to run the whole canal.
Well that is exactly what we will be setting out to do from Coventry on the 20th July running 11 miles a day for 7 days finishing in Oxford. We will be amongst 8 friends tackling this challenge, hoping to raise lots of money whilst having a fun if tiring week's holiday. We estimate between the 3 of us we've run nearly 2000 miles in training since April but are currently more concerned about the over grown tow path covered in stinging nettles than completing the miles!
The Clive Project is a small local charity based in Witney, Oxfordshire specialising in giving care, support and advice to people and their families under 65 who are suffering from dementia.
We chose to raise money for The Clive Project after a friend and her family had been given such great support and practical help with a family member coping with this disease we just felt compelled to help them.
