My story

 
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. I will be taking part in a charity cycle ride at the end of February 2010. The challenge is to cycle 470km from Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) and finishing at Angkor Wat in Cambodia.

The money raised will support mine clearance programmes worldwide by the Mines Advisory Group (MAG). MAG is a neutral and impartial humanitarian organisation clearing the remnants of conflict for the benefit of local communities. Please see the video and photos on the left-hand side to see examples of MAG's work.

Alongside the beautiful scenery, inquisitive locals, ancient temples and a way of life far removed from that of our everyday lives, we will also have the opportunity to meet MAG staff in Cambodia - the people dedicating their lives to removing landmines.
