Hello Friend & thanks for visiting this fundraising page and helping me support RefugeeYouth with a 10k run.
RefugeeYouth is an effective small charity, based in South London, that provides a space for camaraderie and development to young people from around the world. Even the smallest donation goes a long way. Just £20 can cover dinner for up to 20 people - a chance for these young people to cook together, share food and chat. Or £5 can cover someone's travel so they can take part in projects and activities.
I'd like to see £500 raised to support 12 young people to take part in a 'workcamp' at Tools for Self Reliance in the New Forest. The week would provide a breather from the strains of daily life in London, and allow the participants to develop new skills (whilst helping others) as volunteers with TFSR. The week's not all work - there's mountain biking in the Forest, and evenings sat around the bonfire drumming, eating and shooting the breeze. It's good stuff, and there's lots of laughter.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor this 10k run: Barbara Melunsky Refugee Youth Agency Limited gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Please sponsor this run. Now!
