Story
Well, I made it and achieved my target of £5000 for Cancer Research.
I have found a new challenge, well Mum has really and decided that both Daley and I should join her in it.
We are now going to cycle from London to Amsterdam next April, appropriately starting the cycle ride on what would have been Dad's birthday. Remember he loved cycling, so much so that he once bought a bicycle instead of giving Mum any housekeeping for the week. So that was a week of mince and potatoes, no beer, no cheer etc. He also loved Holland and he especially loved doing just what he wanted on his birthday. so it seems jsut right to be doing this.
We are now all in training for this challenge and I have a new justgiving page so please go to www.justgiving.com/teamhairy to donate for us, and see what a great picture we fhave for this one!
Anyone who knew my Dad knew the kind of madcap ideas he had and of at least some of the many weird and wonderful activities he got up to. He would have loved to do an expedition such as the one I am aiming to do in his memory, and I'm sure I will feel him with me at every step along the way.
Mum, Daley and I would like to thank all of whom made Dad's Celebration of His Life such a wonderfully memorable occasion. The cavalcade of motorbikes and cars was exactly as he would have wanted and the service itself was just right. Thank you for all of your support and for visiting my fundraising page.
Now for the serious stuff!
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to donate: Cancer Research UK will receive your money electronically and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in Gift Aid will be added to your donation at no cost to you.
