Hello. I'm running (to be fair there'll be a lot of walking / pretending to run) the virtual Y 100 Sir Fynwy Long Distance Walkers Association event this coming weekend. It will (hopefully) be my first 100 mile event. It should be in South Wales but because of the pandemic it's gone virtual - I'll be doing it in 20-30 mile loops from my home in the North Pennines.

At the last minute I've decided to try and raise some pennies for Community Action Nepal's (CAN) COVID-19 Crisis Appeal.

The situation in Nepal has now become a national emergency. CAN are committed to continuing the vital support needed by the vulnerable remote communities in the North Gorkha region of the Himalaya.

This month the COVID-19 situation in Nepal took a significant turn for
the worse, fuelled by deadly new variants of the virus. Record number of cases and Covid-19 related deaths are being reported each day, most of the country has been placed in a full lock-down, and all domestic and international flights have been suspended. We may be coming out of lockdown in the UK and things are looking brighter - this is sadly not the case in Nepal. Find out more here: https://www.canepal.org.uk/covid
