Basingstoke-based HR Consultancy, Reality HR, has nominated the Gynaecological Cancer Fund to support throughout 2017. The charity is committed to raising £750,000 over three years for research into new targeted treatments for gynaecological cancer and has already raised £500,000.

The charity is particularly close to the hearts of the Reality HR team as one of its members, Kate Scott, was diagnosed with a rare form of ovarian cancer early in 2016.  Kate is now back at work after chemotherapy treatment and an operation last year.  Kate became aware of the charity through her consultant Dr Susana Banerjee, who is leading the research at the Royal Marsden in London. Having received chemotherapy treatment in 2016, Kate recognises first-hand the importance of new research, clinical trials and a personalised approach to treatment.

In the run up to Christmas, Reality HR made an excellent start to supporting the charity by raising £1,256 from a Christmas raffle which was very kindly supported by clients, friends & family.  The team are planning to hold a variety of events throughout 2017.
