Gabriella: After my mum’s dearest friend of over 35 years, Jane Gornell, lost her battle of 18 months to cancer we knew we should do something in her honour.

More than once, this awful disease has created so much sadness and pain in our lives and not a day goes by where Jane isn’t missed.

As a result of this, on March 15th 2020, my mum and I will be running the Bath Half Marathon in memory of Jane; raising money for Bowel Cancer West charity. The charity’s aim is to raise awareness of bowel cancer by pushing for earlier diagnosis and increased uptake of screening. As well as, funding south west based research and supplementary training for medical staff.
