The 24 Peaks is both a mental and physical challenge. The Challenge is to climb NOT 3 Peaks but  24 PEAKS in just 24 hours, Yeh thats right, 24 Mountains all over 2400ft in just 24 hours. The event takes place in the Lake District over the 14th and 15th July. It is a Charity event to raise funds for Seafarers UK.Seafarers UK helps people from the Royal Navy, Royal Marines, Merchant Navy and fishing fleets, and their families, in times of need. This could be through a grant to support young people training for a career at sea, funding of new medical equipment for servicemen injured in Afghanistan or financial help for families of those killed at sea.

The team is named The Wightlink Anchors and is made up of Wightlink staff and commuters from the Lymington Yarmouth route. they are, Jon Giffin, Derek Graham, Andrew Sherring, Tony Winslow, Cathy Hoar, Turgay Hassan'Hicks and Mike Hassan'Green
