Ladybird requires a large portion of its costs to be covered by charitable donations to stay open and continue its fantastic work for the children who attend.

Since opening in 1985, 251 children have attended Ladybird and the centre continues to provide invaluable care and support to new referrals.

Our event will involve friends, families and children or Ladybird covering a combined distance of 251 miles, a mile for each child that has attended Ladybird to date.

These miles will be covered during the week of 11-15 December and the more people take part the more achievable this will be.

Miles will be achieved by walking, pushing/being pushed, running, rowing, cycling and swimming

Miles can be logged with the machine, fitness tracker, or an app with a smartphone.

Every penny raised goes directly to help the very young children in our care, and pays for them to receive 1:1 support, education and therapies by highly qualified Keyworkers who are skilled in maximising their potential. We aim to help every child disadvantaged by disability, and prepare them for moving on to mainstream education when the time comes. But most importantly - to have lots of FUN during their time with us.
