We raise funds for children with arthritis to help them to live just like other kids.

Story

My almost 3 year old daughter Kara has been very poorly In numerous hospitals over the last couple of months and unfortunately it doesn't end there as it looks like it is going to be an ongoing issue, possibly one that may affect her for the rest of her life. She has been diagnosed with jia, juvenile idiopathic arthritis. An auto immune condition where the body attacks it's own joints and organs due to an over active immune system causing joint pain, fever, inflammation, muscle weakness, fatigue, infection and general illness.

On the 19th June in the middle or arthritis week, it is wearpurpleforjia day. As well as wearing purple and trying to arrange some other events to raise money, I am also hoping to collect donations for CATS (Childrens Arthirits Trust) to raise awareness and help in the future aid and research of this condition because it shouldn't hurt to be a child. 💜💚

About the charity

The Childrens Arthritis Trust supports Great Ormond Street Hospital and University College Hospital London to improve the care and treatment of children and young people with arthritis. Our goal is to strengthen the medical team by the provision of dedicated specialists in nursing and physiotherapy; and support staff to enable doctors to administer new and novel treatments to better manage the disease.
