Around 60,000 babies are born prematurely each year in the UK. Tragically more than 1,000 lose their little lives as a result. Globally, premature birth is biggest killer of children under 5.

Action Medical Research is the leading UK-wide charity saving and changing children’s lives through medical research by funding ground breaking research to help find answers that can lead to cures, treatments and medical breakthroughs for some of the toughest fights our children face.

Almost everyone has been touched in some way by their ground-breaking work, like the first polio vaccines in the UK, ultrasound in pregnancy and the rubella vaccine.

So we are fighting back by spending 4 days in the saddle, and cycling a little over 300 miles, to help parents, children, families and communities.
