Story

In April this year Mia started at Sprig Luden's Forest School. I had heard a little about 'The Hut' in Streatham Vale but didn't know much about it other than they ran a playgroup. Well I went along and looked around, they had an incredible outdoor space with an abundance of opportunity for the kids to explore, investigate and create. The manager John spoke about how the kids were helping to shape the outdoor space, digging the moats and making the mounds on which they now play. He spoke about how they encourage risk taking and free play and the place just had a sense of warmth and understanding about it. Six months on and Mia absolutely adores her time at Sprig. She loves the team and talks about them all the time, she's soared in confidence and I am so incredibly grateful to them all.

The nursery though is just a part of what is an incredible charity which provides such an abundance of services and opportunities to children, young people and their families in Streatham. Across three sites, SYCT provide activities, clubs and youth services which are so desperately needed for our young people. They strive to provide free and accessible services to the community but of course in order to deliver these essential and valuable opportunities, they need funds!

So to celebrate the first birthday of Sprig Ludens Forest School, I have decided to dress as a woodland creature all day every day for a week. SYCT aim to provide free play all day and I will be foxing around all day every day to raise money for them.

So yes, that'll be me on the school run looking like an exasperated, hassled fox. That'll be me in full fox regalia whilst I walk 4 dogs in the rain each day. I'll be mooching through the supermarket, two little rascals in tow dressed as a fox. Hopefully I'll get my foxxy butt to the pub a night or two and may even shake my bushy tail on the dancefloor if I'm lucky. Any and everything that I do from the 30th October for a week, I'll be doing it foxxly.

Please, please make my ridiculousness worthwhile by hitting donate and making a difference to children and young people and to our local community. SYCT truly is something special and they need your support!

Thanks folks! 😘
