Why We're Fund-Raising

20% of Tiny Lives Trust's £350k annual funding is in jeopardy since the Great North Run 2020 was cancelled so we're giving a hand

1-in-13 babies are born prematurely, and it can be the scariest and most mentally and financially challenging time anyone will experience

The Trust offers invaluable support to thousands of families who greatly appreciate the emotional, and practical support when their babies are in Special Care, involving;

- Family room and accommodation

- Travel costs support that can extend for months

- Dedicated Social Worker providing emotional and practical support

- Support package charting their baby’s progress through those early critical days, weeks, and sometimes months, including;

  - memory box
  - journal
  - stickers

Additionally the Trust ensures babies have access to:

- Highest quality development aids and equipment;

  - baby nests
  - gel pillows
  - sleep shades
  - and noise level monitors

- Neonatal Physiotherapist to aid early development and train nursing staff

- Specially trained nursing staff able to provide the latest neonatal care
