Why am I doing this? well I decided to get involved in the Oesophageal Cancer Fund's (5050OCF) 50km for €50K in July challenge because in Jan 2019 my husband was diagnosed with Oesophageal Cancer and has been having a series of treatments under a fantastic consultant, needless to say this hit him/us like a sledgehammer, I am so very proud of him as he has done everything the team asked if him so whilst he still has treatments ahead of him we take it as it comes and deal with it.
So now I need your help, I would like everyone to get behind us and really push this out there, get your friends, colleagues, neighbours, anyone and everyone you can to donate to the link below, our wish is the research that this fundraising is for will help families like mine, my mind plays over and over the resounding words from the consultant the day of the diagnosis that if he were diagnosed 6 years ago the scenario would be an Oesophagus removal and 5 years! someone fund-raised back then so we have the good fortune now to be able to have the fantastic team and new treatments that he is receiving, so instead of doing 50km in the month of July I am going to do 50km in a day!!!!!!
