Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In October 2019 I am doing my first ever officially registered 5k run. This is to raise money to support the special care baby unit at my local hospital, the PRUH (Farnborough, Bromley).

Why this Charity?

Well, when I arrived into this world in October 1992, my mother was only 29 and a half weeks into her pregnancy. The statistics for my survival, being 10 and a half weeks early), weren't great. If it weren't for the Special Care Baby Unit, I honestly don't know if I would have been alive today! And now it's time for me to give back (hopefully with your help too).

So please contribute in any way that you can to support this wonderful unit that is still going today, all these years later, having cared for thousands of premature babies in the Bromley borough.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity.

About the charity

The fund was established in 1985 to provide funds for the Special Care Baby Fund at the Princess Royal Hospital Farnborough Kent. We provide equipment and training for staff and seek to improve all aspects of the comfort and experience of both babies and parents during and after the recovery period
