Story

Hi this is Dave and Lawrence. We have a friend, Mal, who is
fighting against cancer, and we need your help to support the fantastic
hospital that is helping in that fight.

Just before he retired, he found out he had cancer. This was
devastating news for him and his family.

He retired at the age of 61. We have challenged ourselves to
dedicate 61 minutes every day to exercise (including running, cycling or
swimming) for 61 consecutive days.  We
are committing to this challenge because Love Musgrove has been committed to
treating Mal, and to honour Mal for all the years he has given the world so
far, we are pushing our bodies to fight for him.

Why Love Musgrove? Mal was struggling although he wouldn't
say it, but the people who worked at Love Musgrove made him feel safe, and
supported him through this difficult time. They go out of their way to make
sure he is comfortable and respect all of his decisions. Every time he comes
back from appointment, blood test or treatments he always says how "he
couldn't fault them".

Love Musgrove is the Official Charity of Musgrove Park
Hospital. Each year the Hospital treats over 450,000 patients through its emergency
department, on its wards and through its outpatient services. Although the
Hospital is funded by the NHS, it is vital that we raise additional funds to
improve our services, purchase new equipment and continue to provide a positive
environment for both patients and their families. Donations made in support of
Love Musgrove have a real and tangible impact on the people of Somerset and
beyond!
