Two years ago our mum was diagnosed with an aggressive form of ovarian cancer.  Recently our mum lost her battle and passed away at the age of 64.  She battled hard over 2 years and had some great treatment from doctors and medical staff.  

Through rounds of chemotherapy and surgery mum stayed strong and remained in good spirits, being the same amazing mother to her 5 kids that she had always been.  Unfortunately she still lost her battle.

Having witnessed our mum's treatment,and seeing other patients suffering from cancer, we have seen some of the devastation that cancer can create.  On seeing this challenge all three of us wanted to do the cycle in memory of our mum whilst raising awareness for the cause.  

Women v Cancer combines Breast Cancer Care, Ovarian Cancer Action and Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust.  The three charities support people affected by these three types of cancer and research into developing effective treatments and cures.
